Senior Project Associate (Durable Solutions and Reintegration)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Project Associate to support the implementation of durable solutions and reintegration activities for internally displaced persons and returnees in Iraq. Working under the guidance of the Chief of Mission and the Durable Solutions Programme Coordinator, you will contribute to on‑the‑ground project delivery across multiple governorates.

Key responsibilities

• Support the planning and execution of durable solutions and reintegration activities, including housing reconstruction, livelihoods, cash‑for‑work and community engagement.
• Monitor project progress, track indicators, and ensure compliance with budgets and timelines.
• Conduct data analysis, prepare reports, and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with government, UN agencies, NGOs and other stakeholders to align efforts and share information.
• Provide capacity‑building support to field officers and supervise junior staff as needed.
• Assist in the development of project proposals and contribute to strategic planning.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in project implementation, monitoring, budgeting, analysis, reporting, stakeholder coordination, capacity building and documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse partners in a humanitarian context.
• Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
