Senior Maintenance Technician – Water Cup Production Line

About the role

The Senior Maintenance Technician provides hands‑on, senior‑level support for high‑speed thermoforming and Form‑Fill‑Seal (FFS) water cup production lines. You will lead shift maintenance activities, diagnose complex faults, and ensure the line runs reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Implement daily, weekly, monthly and shutdown maintenance plans.
• Lead technicians during scheduled maintenance and unexpected breakdowns.
• Diagnose complex mechanical and production‑related faults.
• Perform machine setup, changeovers, alignment, synchronization and precision adjustments.
• Inspect equipment, identify developing faults and carry out preventive, corrective and major maintenance.
• Escalate recurring issues and support root‑cause analysis.
• Record work performed, parts used and follow‑up actions.
• Identify future maintenance needs and critical spare‑part requirements.
• Assist with installation, commissioning and overhauls when required.
• Train mechanical technicians and selected production operators.
• Coordinate with production personnel during test runs and adjustments.
• Assume responsibility for the maintenance team in the supervisor’s absence.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Maintenance or Mechanical Engineering.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with the full thermoforming/FFS water‑cup process, including film handling, heating zones, molds, vacuum, cooling, filling systems, sealing and cutting mechanisms.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot poor cup forming, film tracking issues, water leakage, sealing defects, mechanical timing problems and abnormal vibrations.
• Experience with high‑speed machines such as Thermonox or Beta‑Pak is strongly preferred.
