Combat Vehicle Technician II

About the role

Provide on‑the‑job training and advise Iraqi personnel on the maintenance and repair of M1A1SA, M1A2 and M88A1/A2 combat vehicle systems. Use download equipment to manage software configurations, complete required paperwork and ensure proper safety practices.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver OJT and technical guidance for M1A1SA, M1A2 and M88A1/A2 vehicle subsystems.
• Utilize download equipment to transfer and read data for software configuration.
• Complete maintenance, administrative forms and Field Problem Reports in the USG system.
• Interpret troubleshooting procedures, diagnostic flow diagrams and service manuals.
• Maintain accountability of special tools, test equipment and personal protective equipment.
• Conduct initial, during‑and final inspections of vehicle fleets.
• Perform additional maintenance tasks as required.

Required profile

• Pass a deployment physical and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in temperatures up to 120 °F (50 °C) while wearing PPE.
• Lift a minimum of 40 lb (18 kg) and work primarily in a field maintenance environment.
• Comfortable with high noise levels and use of hearing protection.
• Maintain a company‑issued credit card and a valid U.S. passport.
• Follow equipment, PPE and safety policies with minimal supervision.
• Adapt quickly to changing conditions in a fast‑paced setting.
