F-16 Wheel/Tire/CDDAR Technician (Iraq)

About the role

V2X is seeking an experienced F‑16 Wheel, Tire and CDDAR Technician to support the Iraqi Air Force (IqAF) in a deployed environment. The role involves training back‑shop personnel, managing wheel and tire inventory, and executing maintenance and emergency recovery procedures on F‑16 aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Train, advise and integrate IqAF wheel and tire back‑shop staff in standard practices and fleet health management.
• Receive, disassemble, inspect, rebuild and document F‑16 wheels and tires.
• Maintain spare parts availability, initiate ordering and manage inventory to support flight‑line operations.
• Support CDDAR (Crash/Damage/Dismantle/Repair) procedures and instruct emergency recovery techniques.
• Interpret and teach technical publications, schematics and specifications.
• Document maintenance actions and train personnel in proper record‑keeping.
• Recommend process improvements to increase shop productivity and efficiency.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical aircraft maintenance training preferred.
• USAF 7‑skill level (Craftsman) in Wheel and Tire.
• 8–10 years of F‑16 aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 3 years as a wheel and tire specialist with CDDAR experience.
• U.S. citizenship and a Secret clearance (or interim).
• Strong interpersonal and training abilities; experience with international teams and worldwide deployability, especially in the Middle East.
