Automotive Technician – Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

About the role

The Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicles at the SAS Toyota dealership in Baghdad, ensuring safety and efficiency. The role involves diagnosing problems, performing repairs, and conducting routine maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute maintenance and repair tasks following manufacturers’ manuals, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
• Diagnose mechanical issues manually or with computerized diagnostic tools.
• Ensure tasks are completed within specified timeframes and promptly notify the supervisor of any potential delays.
• Adhere to safety regulations at all times and report unsafe conditions in writing.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness, keep tools and equipment in good condition, and return them to their designated locations after use.
• Clock off completed job cards, request new ones from the supervisor, and document all service activities accurately.
• Communicate repair details, overall vehicle condition, and future maintenance needs to customers.
• Return serviced vehicles to customers in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the direct supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in automotive service.
• Good understanding of vehicle systems, maintenance requirements, and service processes.
• Proficiency in English.
