PTW Coordinator – Kirkuk, Iraq

About the role

Wood is seeking a Permit to Work (PTW) Coordinator for its Iraq Business Unit. The role focuses on daily coordination of the PTW system for startup operations and is based on‑site in Kirkuk with occasional travel.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule work scopes, preparing and reviewing all permit documentation, including JSA’s and site hazard assessments.
• Verify permits before management approval and identify isolation requirements in line with O&M isolation rules.
• Liaise with isolating authorities to ensure proper implementation of isolations.
• Conduct risk assessments, lead toolbox talks, and issue authorized permits under supervision.
• Monitor simultaneous and adjacent work scopes, resolve conflicts, and ensure safe execution of concurrent activities.
• Participate in worksite inspections and PTW audits, maintaining accurate permit logs.
• Coordinate with FOD Operations on brownfield projects to minimise delays.
• Track permits through their full life cycle, from initiation to close‑out, and ensure record‑keeping compliance.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma with at least 10 years of experience in oil & gas operations or related fields.
• Proficiency with standard computer software, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Solid understanding of HSE practices and oil & gas process operations.
