Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead and deliver electrical, MEP, construction, industrial or infrastructure projects at Al Safi Group headquarters in Baghdad. The role involves planning, managing and completing projects from initiation through hand‑over while meeting scope, schedule, budget, quality and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and manage project activities from initiation to completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones and execution plans.
• Ensure projects are delivered within approved scope, budget, timeline and quality standards.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and internal departments.
• Lead and supervise the project team, assigning clear responsibilities.
• Monitor progress against schedule and take corrective actions when required.
• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, contracts and other technical documents.
• Coordinate procurement and material requirements to ensure timely availability on site.
• Monitor project costs, commitments, variations and overall budget performance.
• Identify risks, technical issues, delays and resource constraints and develop solutions.
• Manage variations, claims and change orders in coordination with relevant departments.
• Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings.
• Ensure compliance with quality, specification and HSE requirements.
• Prepare and approve project reports, progress updates and documentation.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging and final hand‑over activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience managing projects.
• Previous experience in electrical, MEP, construction, industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to lead project teams, contractors and subcontractors.
