Project Engineer – Construction EPC & Maintenance (Kirkuk)

About the role

Wood is seeking a Project Engineer to support a portfolio of construction‑focused minor EPC and maintenance repair order projects within its Iraq Business Unit. The role is full‑time, based on‑site in Kirkuk, and reports to the Senior Project Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a small, multi‑disciplinary team of construction engineers and subcontractors to deliver projects from initiation to close‑out.
• Apply the Project Management Framework to ensure compliance with schedule, cost, quality, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical and logistical issues.
• Prepare and review project documentation, progress reports, and change orders.
• Support maintenance and modification activities on existing oil and gas assets.

Required profile

• Local national with fluent Arabic and English communication skills.
• Proven experience in construction‑oriented EPC or maintenance projects, preferably in the oil and gas sector.
• Ability to manage small teams and subcontractors on‑site.
• Willingness to travel as required.
