Programme Coordinator – Durable Solutions

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Programme Coordinator to support durable solutions for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Iraq. Reporting to the Senior Programme Coordinator and under the supervision of the Head of the Transition and Recovery Division, the role focuses on operational implementation of return, relocation and reintegration activities.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Programme Coordinator in delivering the strategic direction of the Return and Recovery Units (RRU) for durable solutions.
• Develop and apply methodologies and tools for area‑based return, relocation and reintegration operations.
• Ensure alignment of activities with existing IOM plans, priorities and coordination mechanisms.
• Monitor and report on the progress of operational activities, identifying gaps and proposing corrective actions.
• Support data collection, research and analysis to inform programme design and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in migration, displacement or humanitarian programme implementation.
• Understanding of durable solutions concepts and IDP return, relocation and reintegration processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior staff, government partners and NGOs.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
