Mechanical Maintenance Technician – Water Cup Production Line

About the role

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician will ensure the high‑speed water‑cup production line runs smoothly by performing preventive and corrective maintenance on thermoforming, filling, sealing, cutting and discharge equipment. The role is hands‑on, requiring quick response to breakdowns and collaboration with production operators.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance using approved checklists.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures to minimise downtime.
• Inspect, disassemble, replace, and re‑assemble components such as bearings, chains, sprockets, belts, gearboxes and pneumatic cylinders.
• Adjust, lubricate, align and clean machine parts, ensuring proper film tension, heating zones and sealing pressure.
• Support mold changes, machine set‑up, alignment and trial runs.
• Record work performed, parts used and machine conditions.
• Assist with major overhauls, installations and shutdown activities.

Required profile

• Technical certificate or diploma in Mechanical Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Practical experience with high‑speed thermoforming and packaging equipment (Thermonox, Beta‑Pak preferred).
• Ability to follow safety, food‑hygiene and lockout/tagout procedures.
