Maintenance Supervisor - Water Cup Production Line

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the upkeep of our high‑speed thermoforming/Form‑Fill‑Seal water cup production line. The role involves planning preventive maintenance, supervising a team of technicians, and responding hands‑on to major breakdowns to maximise equipment reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and shutdown maintenance plans.
• Assign tasks to senior and mechanical maintenance technicians and ensure safe, timely completion.
• Lead troubleshooting during major breakdowns, perform root‑cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Coordinate maintenance windows with production to minimise unplanned downtime.
• Maintain equipment histories, SOPs, checklists and technical reports.
• Create and manage critical spare‑parts lists, forecast requirements and monitor consumption.
• Ensure compliance with safety, food‑hygiene and lockout/tagout procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance or a related field.
• 7‑10 years of hands‑on maintenance experience on thermoforming/FFS machines used for water cup production.
• Proven ability to lead a technical team and train senior technicians.
• Strong knowledge of safety and food‑hygiene standards.

Required skills

• Thermoforming and Form‑Fill‑Seal machine maintenance.
• Plastic‑film feeding, tracking, tension control.
• Heating, mould, vacuum and cooling systems.
• Water‑filling mechanisms, pumps, nozzles, volume adjustment.
• Lid‑film feeding, alignment and heat‑sealing control.
• Cutting, punching and cup‑discharge systems.
• Pneumatic cylinders, valves, regulators and air preparation.
• Bearings, chains, sprockets, timing belts, shafts, gearboxes.
• Linear guides, conveyors, lubrication systems and machine alignment.
• Mechanical synchronization of high‑speed equipment.
• Experience with Thermonox, Beta‑Pak or similar high‑speed machines.
• Root‑cause analysis and preventive maintenance planning.
• Spare‑parts forecasting and inventory management.
• Safety, lockout/tagout and food‑hygiene compliance.
