Career Development Specialist

About the role

The Career Development Specialist will design, build and maintain Sardar Group’s career development architecture, including job families, career paths, learning tracks and internal mobility mechanisms. The role ensures visible growth routes for employees and supports the 2026 HRD Roadmap commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate and structure group roles into validated job families, define role levels and maintain the job family matrix.
• Design vertical, lateral and cross‑functional career paths for priority families, producing career maps and employee‑facing guides.
• Develop role‑based learning tracks, classify mandatory/recommended/optional courses and map them into SAP SuccessFactors Learning.
• Translate the competency framework into practical development requirements, supporting performance management and promotion eligibility.
• Create and pilot individual development plan (IDP) templates, link them to competency gaps and track completion.
• Support internal mobility mechanisms such as rotations, lateral transfers and shadowing, and provide readiness data for succession planning.
• Maintain documentation, version control and produce monthly progress updates and quarterly reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, Education or related field.
• 4–6 years of HR experience, including at least 2 years in HRD, L&D, talent or organizational development.
• Hands‑on experience with competency frameworks, job architecture or career path design.
• Fluent in Arabic and English; Kurdish is a strong advantage.
• Willingness to travel between Erbil, Baghdad and other operating locations.
