Business Development Associate

About the role

Rahal, the travel mini‑app within Iraq’s Super Qi ecosystem, is looking for a Business Development Associate to support its commercial growth. Based in Baghdad and working in a hybrid setting, you will help onboard new travel suppliers, coordinate integrations and ensure smooth collaboration between internal teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research to identify new supplier opportunities and service gaps, and present actionable insights to the Business Development Manager.
• Negotiate and onboard supply partners such as airlines, hotel wholesalers, DMCs, visa providers and ancillary service providers.
• Coordinate B2B integrations with the tech team using GDS, NDC, direct APIs or aggregators.
• Work with legal and finance to manage contracts, NDAs and KYC requirements.
• Ensure partner content, pricing and availability are optimized and competitive.
• Serve as primary point of contact for suppliers, handling operational queries and follow‑ups.
• Maintain BD trackers for supplier pipeline, contract status and go‑live timelines.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics and propose optimisation or replacement of low‑performing partnerships.
• Collaborate with product and marketing teams to launch tactical promotions that drive customer acquisition.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in business development, commercial or operations roles, preferably in travel or related sectors.
• Strong organisational and follow‑up abilities.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• Excellent negotiation, relationship‑building and analytical skills.
• Growth mindset with a keen interest in learning the travel industry.
