Business Development Manager – Iraq

About the role

The Business Development Manager will serve as the strategic link between Sungrow’s local distributor(s) and key installers and EPCs in Iraq. The primary goal is to generate demand and develop a project pipeline across residential and commercial & industrial (C&I) battery energy storage system (BESS) segments, strengthening market share and brand visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage leading installers and EPCs active in residential and C&I BESS segments.
• Promote Sungrow’s residential portfolio, Power Stack, Power Titan, and C&I PV solutions to installers, EPCs, and consultants.
• Coordinate with Sungrow’s official distributor(s) in Iraq, ensuring smooth handover of qualified leads and visibility on quotations, negotiations, and project execution.
• Maintain market intelligence, track project pipelines, and map competitors, pricing trends, and product positioning.
• Collaborate with local and regional teams to deliver technical seminars, workshops, and roadshows, and support technical assessments and solution scoping.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in business development, government relations, strategic partnerships, or related commercial roles.
• Proven experience in solar PV or energy storage industries, preferably in business development or technical sales.
• Strong network and relationships within Iraq’s renewable energy market.
• Ability to manage cross‑functional coordination and long‑cycle sales engagements.
