Deputy Area Sales Manager

About the role

ZOOMLION Heavy Industry is seeking an experienced Deputy Area Sales Manager to support the Regional Sales Manager in Baghdad. The role focuses on driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and managing key customer relationships within the construction and heavy‑machinery sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Regional Sales Manager in achieving sales targets and business objectives for the Baghdad region.
• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share and generate new business opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, dealers, contractors and other partners.
• Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow‑up on leads, quotations and inquiries.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
• Prepare sales forecasts, market reports and performance updates for management.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams to deliver suitable product solutions and after‑sales support.
• Lead customer visits, product demonstrations and business negotiations.

Required profile

• Iraqi nationality is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, marketing, business administration or equivalent experience.
• 3–7 years of sales experience in construction, heavy machinery or engineering equipment.
• Previous senior sales or supervisory experience preferred.
• Proven track record of meeting sales targets and developing new business.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and customer‑relationship skills.
• Ability to analyse market trends and work independently on multiple opportunities.
• Fluent English.
