Deputy Area Sales Manager

About the role

ZOOMLION is seeking a results‑driven Deputy Area Sales Manager to support the Regional Sales Manager in Baghdad. The role focuses on expanding market share, nurturing key customer relationships, and achieving sales targets for heavy‑machinery and construction equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Regional Sales Manager in meeting sales targets and business objectives for the Baghdad region.
• Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share and drive business growth.
• Identify and generate new business opportunities across construction, heavy machinery, and related sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, dealers, contractors, and partners.
• Manage the sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow‑up on leads, quotations, and opportunities.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to spot trends and customer needs.
• Prepare sales forecasts, market reports, and performance updates for management.
• Collaborate with internal technical teams to deliver suitable product solutions and after‑sales support.

Required profile

• Iraqi nationality is mandatory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5–7 years of sales experience in construction, heavy machinery or engineering equipment sectors.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new business.
• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and customer‑relationship skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Iraqi market, especially the Baghdad region.
• Ability to analyse market trends, competitors and customer requirements.
• Proficiency in English and experience using CRM software.
