Wireline Supervisor

About the role

The Wireline Supervisor leads the planning, preparation, and safe execution of wireline operations for ECD Vision’s Well Intervention Department across multiple Iraqi oilfields. Acting as the frontline representative at the wellsite, the supervisor ensures crew discipline, equipment readiness, job quality, and thorough documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Review client work programs, well data, pressure and temperature information, and develop detailed wireline job plans.
• Prepare tool strings, equipment checklists, consumables lists, and coordinate mobilization requirements.
• Lead rig‑up, pressure testing, tool assembly, logging, pressure‑control operations, and rig‑down activities.
• Supervise cased‑hole services such as PLT, CBL/VDL, Gamma Ray, CCL, caliper, memory gauges, and well‑integrity logging.
• Oversee open‑hole support tasks, including cable inspection, data‑acquisition readiness, and safe field execution.
• Monitor job progress, well conditions, cable tension, depth control, and acquisition quality, stopping work if unsafe conditions arise.
• Coordinate with operations, procurement, logistics, HSE, QA/QC, and maintenance teams, and attend pre‑job meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in wireline operations within oil and gas well intervention.
• Strong knowledge of cased‑hole and open‑hole logging techniques.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary crews and manage third‑party support.
• Excellent understanding of HSE standards and oilfield safety procedures.
• Effective communication skills for client coordination and reporting.
