About the role
The Procurement and Contracts Engineer will lead end‑to‑end sourcing, tendering and contract management for goods and services, ensuring compliance with company policies and governance. This role supports operational continuity across maintenance, projects, shutdowns and emergency procurement in the oil & gas sector.
Key responsibilities
- Execute full procurement cycle – from sourcing, RFQs/RFPs, bid evaluation, negotiations to contract award and close‑out.
- Develop and implement sourcing and contracting strategies that maximise commercial value and mitigate risk.
- Administer contracts and purchase orders, monitor supplier performance, KPIs and manage amendments, variations and claims.
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, HSE and other departments to define scopes, technical specifications and evaluation criteria.
- Identify cost‑optimisation and value‑engineering opportunities while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Law, Business Administration or related field.
- 8‑10 years of progressive procurement and contracts experience, preferably with an international oil & gas operator.
- Proven ability to conduct commercial evaluations, market assessments and negotiate favourable terms.
Required skills
- Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
