Warehouse Superintendent (Oil & Gas)

About the role

The Warehouse Superintendent will lead the integrated warehouse operations for the South Basra Integrated Project, ensuring safe, efficient and cost‑effective material handling for critical oil‑field activities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full material lifecycle: receiving, inspection, storage, preservation, issuing, distribution and periodic inventory counting.
• Develop, refine and enforce warehouse management systems, operating procedures and layout plans to guarantee smooth material flow.
• Monitor inventory levels, set alert thresholds, optimise stock structure and control per‑ton storage costs.
• Implement and enforce HSE management systems, focusing on fire, explosion and leakage prevention for hazardous chemicals and large‑diameter tubular goods.
• Lead the warehouse team through personnel allocation, skill training and performance appraisal.
• Coordinate closely with procurement, production, drilling and other business units to ensure 100% on‑time delivery of critical materials.
• Drive digital transformation by integrating WMS with ERP and accelerating digital tracking across the material lifecycle.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of solid experience in oil & gas warehouse or logistics management.
• Proven track record of maintaining zero safety incidents and zero environmental pollution.
• Strong ability to align warehouse activities with drilling and production schedules.
• Experience in cost reduction, inventory optimisation and digital‑intelligent warehousing.
• Leadership skills to build and manage a professional warehousing workforce.
