Driver – Transportation & Logistics

About the role

The Driver position at SAS Toyota is focused on ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods and people across designated routes in Basra. You will coordinate transportation activities, maintain communication with stakeholders, and uphold safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and drive routes based on customer orders, delivery schedules, and driver availability.
• Assign drivers to specific routes and provide necessary instructions and documentation.
• Monitor delivery status and communicate with drivers to ensure on‑time arrivals and pickups.
• Track shipments and update customers on order status as required.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to arrange transportation services.
• Resolve issues or delays that arise during transportation operations.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records, including driver logs, vehicle maintenance schedules, and delivery documentation.
• Evaluate transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
• Provide support and assistance to drivers and other transportation staff as needed.

Required profile

• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and identify vehicle license plate numbers.
