About the role
We are looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Contracts Specialist to join our Contracts Team in Sulaymaniyah. The role is pivotal in managing contracts, ensuring compliance, and supporting commercial and technical project objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare RFPs, RFQs, and ITBs; review and negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers.
- Conduct cost estimates, financial analyses, and risk assessments to support budgets and forecasts.
- Manage variations, change orders, and ensure accurate documentation and stakeholder agreement.
- Ensure all tenders and contracts comply with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
- Prepare regular reports on contract performance, financial status, and risks for management review.
Required profile
- Degree in Engineering; professional course in Contracts Management (CIPS or PMC certification preferred).
- 15+ years of contracts management experience in the oil & gas or energy sector.
- Strong understanding of tendering practices, contract law, and various contract forms.
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP.
- Knowledge of contract management software.
