Senior Contracts Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Contracts Specialist to join our Contracts Team in Sulaymaniyah. The role is pivotal in managing contracts, ensuring compliance, and supporting commercial and technical project objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare RFPs, RFQs, and ITBs; review and negotiate contracts with contractors and suppliers.
• Conduct cost estimates, financial analyses, and risk assessments to support budgets and forecasts.
• Manage variations, change orders, and ensure accurate documentation and stakeholder agreement.
• Ensure all tenders and contracts comply with local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
• Prepare regular reports on contract performance, financial status, and risks for management review.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering; professional course in Contracts Management (CIPS or PMC certification preferred).
• 15+ years of contracts management experience in the oil & gas or energy sector.
• Strong understanding of tendering practices, contract law, and various contract forms.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with ERP systems, specifically SAP.
• Knowledge of contract management software.
