Senior Commercial Manager (Facilities Management)

About the role

The Senior Commercial Manager will lead the commercial function for facilities management projects, ensuring that commercial interests are maximised and aligned with client strategies. This role drives revenue growth, mitigates risk, and builds long‑term profitable relationships with key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial strategies to achieve business objectives and revenue targets.
• Lead contract negotiations, secure favourable terms, and oversee contract administration and compliance.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis to control costs and ensure profitability.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks associated with contracts and projects.
• Conduct market research to stay informed on industry trends, competitor activity and customer needs.
• Track and report on KPIs to measure the effectiveness of commercial activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and partners.
• Oversee preparation and submission of competitive bids and proposals.
• Ensure all commercial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations and company policies.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of commercial professionals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial management within construction or facilities management.
• In‑depth knowledge of construction contracts, quantity surveying methods and financial matters.
• Proven experience in negotiation, document review and commercial accountability.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications: MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
