Senior Civil and Structural Design Engineer

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Senior Civil and Structural Design Engineer to work onsite in Basra on the Majnoon project. The role involves delivering detailed civil and structural designs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop civil and structural bill of materials, layouts, and detailed drawings using Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Create 3D models of RCC foundations, piles, pile caps, and structural steel components, and extract general arrangement drawings.
• Perform calculations, topographic layouts, earthworks, road and drainage designs, and prepare as‑built drawings.
• Coordinate clash/interface checks with other engineering disciplines and issue drawings for inter‑discipline reviews.
• Estimate material take‑offs, review vendor drawings, and ensure compliance with contract requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in civil and structural design engineering.
• Experience working on large‑scale oil and gas or infrastructure projects, preferably in the Middle East.
• Ability to supervise small teams and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (ACAD).
• Experience with Navisworks software.
• Strong knowledge of Civil 3D for grading and roadway modeling.
