Site Electrical Supervisor – Electrical Construction Lead

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Site Electrical Supervisor to oversee safe, compliant, and high‑quality electrical construction, installation, testing and pre‑commissioning activities at its Basra site. You will coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure project schedules and system priorities are met.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily electrical construction activities, including HV, MV and LV equipment installation and verification against approved drawings.
• Coordinate electrical work with construction, engineering, QA/QC, HSE, commissioning and other disciplines.
• Monitor contractor performance, progress, quality and safety, and prepare daily/weekly progress reports.
• Ensure technical compliance with specifications, method statements, ITPs and international standards.
• Support mechanical completion, energisation readiness, commissioning and handover of electrical systems.

Required profile

• More than 10 years of experience in electrical construction and site supervision on large EPC/EPSCC projects.
• Proven field experience supervising installation, testing, pre‑commissioning and handover of HV/MV/LV systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; technical diploma acceptable with substantial experience.
• Fluent in English; Arabic knowledge is an advantage.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with transformers, switchgear, motor control centres, UPS, DC systems, power and control cables, earthing, lighting and electrical heat tracing.
• Ability to read and interpret single‑line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules and vendor drawings.
• Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NFPA, ISO and project‑specific standards.
• Familiarity with ITP, RFI, NCR, punch‑list, mechanical completion and turnover processes.
