QA/QC Engineer – Maysan, Iraq

About the role

We are seeking a QA/QC Engineer to join our team in Maysan, Iraq. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the project quality management system, ensuring that all work complies with contractual and industry standards. This role supports the full project lifecycle from construction through commissioning and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 9001 and project specifications.
• Prepare and manage Project Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), procedures and method statements.
• Coordinate and supervise all QA/QC activities on site, including inspections, audits and material verification.
• Review and approve quality documentation, material submittals, inspection reports and test certificates.
• Manage Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain quality records and support mechanical completion, commissioning and project hand‑over.
• Produce periodic quality reports and provide technical guidance on quality matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of QA/QC experience in oil & gas, EPC or O&M projects.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, welding inspection and NDT methods.
• Four valid NDT certifications are mandatory; additional certifications such as CWI, CSWIP or IWE are preferred.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and reporting abilities.
