Project Controls Lead – Surface Projects (Onsite)

About the role

KBR Iraq is seeking an experienced Project Controls Lead to manage the control functions for its Surface Projects in Basra. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you will supervise a team of cost engineers, planners, document controllers and estimators, ensuring high‑quality, timely delivery of all project control activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Project Cost Engineer, Planner/Scheduler, Document Controller and Project Estimator.
• Develop, maintain and enforce the Surface Projects Project Controls Plan.
• Create and update Level 1/2/3 Project Execution Schedules using Primavera P6, aligning assumptions with cost engineering, risk management and overall project management.
• Implement company schedule requirements and cascade them to contractors.
• Gather inputs from engineering, procurement and construction teams to build the master schedule.
• Monitor progress, update schedules regularly and review client/internal reports.
• Establish and manage man‑hour, cost control, planning and cost estimation systems, including monthly invoice verification.
• Support client assurance and verification activities and participate in bid schedule evaluations.

Required profile

• Expatriate candidate willing to work on a 28/28 rotation schedule.
• Proven experience leading project controls functions in large‑scale construction or oil‑and‑gas projects.
• Strong ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with control processes.
