Construction Supervisor - Pipeline/Flowline (Onsite)

About the role

The Construction Supervisor will lead on‑site activities for flowline, mechanical and piping systems in oil‑and‑gas projects. The role ensures safe execution, adherence to schedule and budget, and compliance with quality and HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all on‑site construction work related to flowlines, mechanical installations, material handling and piping systems.
• Ensure work complies with project specifications, engineering drawings, and applicable codes/standards.
• Monitor daily progress, report status, delays and resource needs to the Construction Manager.
• Manage construction crews, subcontractors and vendors to achieve efficient, high‑quality workmanship.
• Review and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, piping layouts and mechanical installation drawings.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement and quality control to resolve technical issues and secure material availability.
• Conduct quality inspections on welding, piping fabrication, pressure testing and mechanical installations.
• Maintain documentation of site activities, daily reports, inspection records and progress photos.
• Identify risks, implement corrective actions and support pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in oil‑industry pipeline construction, both greenfield and brownfield.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and work with international stakeholders.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (verbal and written).

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of piping systems, flowlines and mechanical installations.
• Proficiency reading P&IDs, isometric drawings, piping layouts and structural drawings.
• Strong understanding of welding procedures, NDT and piping codes (ASME, API, ANSI).
• Experience with pressure testing, hydro‑testing and pre‑commissioning activities.
• Working knowledge of project management tools (MS Project, Primavera preferred).
• Competence in quality control and inspection processes.
• Understanding of HSE management systems and risk assessment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
