Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will support daily purchasing activities at Sardar Group, sourcing goods and services, managing quotations, and ensuring timely delivery while adhering to company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders following company procedures.
• Obtain and compare quotations from approved vendors to secure best value.
• Follow up on order approvals, vendor confirmations, and delivery timelines.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding product availability, lead times, and delivery status.
• Assist in supplier registration and documentation collection.
• Address routine issues related to product quality, delays, or order discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, including POs, quotations, invoices, and delivery notes.
• Update procurement trackers and ensure folders are audit‑ready.
• Support cost‑saving initiatives by identifying competitive suppliers and monitoring market price changes.
• Coordinate with warehouse and other departments to ensure timely receipt of items.
• Assist in processing returns or exchanges of incorrect or damaged goods.
• Report any procurement irregularities to the supervisor and attend department meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience, preferably with international businesses.
• Willingness to travel up to 25 % of the time for supplier visits or site coordination.

Required skills

• Proficiency with procurement/ERP software such as SAP or ODOO.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
