Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist supports daily purchasing activities, sourcing goods and services, obtaining quotations, processing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery. The role aligns procurement actions with company policies while driving cost efficiency and supplier reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders following company procedures.
• Obtain and compare quotations from approved vendors to secure best value.
• Follow up on order approvals, vendor confirmations, and delivery timelines.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding product availability, lead times, and delivery status.
• Assist in supplier registration and documentation collection.
• Address routine issues such as product quality, delays, or order discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate procurement files, including POs, quotations, invoices, and delivery notes.
• Update procurement trackers and ensure folders are audit‑ready.
• Support cost‑saving initiatives by identifying competitive suppliers.
• Monitor market price changes and report significant fluctuations.
• Coordinate with warehouse and other departments for timely receipt of items.
• Assist in processing returns or exchanges of incorrect or damaged goods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience, preferably with international business entities.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time for supplier visits or site coordination.

Required skills

• Proficiency with procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, ODOO).
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
