Procurement Manager

About the role

The leading hospitality company in Iraq is seeking a Procurement Manager to drive sourcing, quality, and warehouse operations. This role will be based onsite and will report directly to senior management, ensuring procurement aligns with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that support overall business goals.
• Identify cost‑effective sourcing opportunities and manage vendor relationships.
• Establish quality control measures for food and beverage service, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
• Utilise the stock management system software for all inventory‑related tasks.
• Oversee warehouse operations and take full responsibility for its performance.
• Develop and enforce hygiene policies and procedures in line with industry standards.
• Conduct regular facility inspections to maintain cleanliness and sanitation.

Required profile

• Currently residing in Iraq.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of procurement and supply experience within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP) and hygiene standards.
• In‑depth understanding of the Iraqi market.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Proficiency with stock management system software.
• Knowledge of HACCP food safety standards.
