National Program Officer – Rehabilitation, Reintegration & Durable Solutions

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a National Program Officer to support its Rehabilitation, Reintegration and Durable Solutions (RRR‑DS) programme in Iraq. Reporting to the Head of the Peace, Recovery and Solutions Division and directly to the Programme Officer (Return and Reintegration), the incumbent will contribute to the design, implementation and monitoring of interventions for internally displaced persons and returnees.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and delivering case‑management, counseling, referral and community‑based dialogue activities.
• Support social‑cohesion, tribal engagement and conflict‑sensitivity initiatives.
• Monitor programme performance, collect data and prepare reports for donors and partners.
• Coordinate with UN agencies, NGOs and local authorities to ensure alignment with IOM’s strategic objectives.
• Contribute to Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE) activities and other related projects.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Humanitarian Affairs, Economic Development, Business/Public Administration, International Studies or a related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant professional experience in humanitarian or development programmes.
• Strong understanding of displacement, reintegration and durable‑solutions concepts.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills, with ability to work in a multicultural environment.
