Mattress Factory Manager

About the role

The Mattress Factory Manager will lead all operational and production activities of a bedding and mattress manufacturing plant. The role focuses on achieving production targets, maintaining high quality standards, ensuring safety compliance, and driving continuous improvement for sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all factory departments including Production, Maintenance, Quality, Warehousing, and Planning.
• Prepare and implement daily, monthly and annual production plans aligned with company objectives.
• Manage manufacturing processes for bedding, mattresses and felt, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• Develop and optimise production lines to increase productivity and reduce waste.
• Monitor KPIs, analyse results and take corrective actions.
• Implement quality systems, standard operating procedures and occupational health & safety requirements.
• Lead work teams, delegate tasks, evaluate performance and develop employee skills.
• Coordinate with purchasing, sales and supply‑chain to secure raw materials and meet delivery schedules.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment.
• Prepare operational and financial reports with recommendations for senior management.
• Control operating costs, improve profitability and resource utilisation.
• Drive continuous‑improvement projects and apply Lean Manufacturing principles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management or a related field.
• Professional certifications in Quality Management, Production or Manufacturing are preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing mattress, bedding or felt manufacturing plants.
• Extensive experience with foam, spring mattresses and various bedding products.
• Proven track record of boosting productivity, cutting costs and raising quality standards.
