Legal Manager

About the role

A Legal Manager is needed to advise management and every unit of the company on legal matters, manage contracts and compliance, and handle litigation. The role also covers intellectual property monitoring, cooperation with government agencies and external law firms, and close collaboration with the parent company.

Key responsibilities

• Advise management on legal and business solutions and give risk management advice on each legal issue
• Provide legal advice to every unit of the company and give opinions on taxation and regulatory incentives
• File and maintain contracts, certificates, licenses and other legal documents, and monitor and renew permits and licenses
• Prepare resolutions such as board and shareholder resolutions, and ensure the company operates under local laws and in line with HQ policies
• Review, draft, amend and prepare contracts, including standard contracts
• Ensure good governance and compliance with laws, regulations, contracts and licenses, and keep the company informed of new laws and regulations
• Monitor the company for infringement of others' patents, copyrights, trademarks and other intellectual property rights
• Review ongoing cases, liaise with external lawyers, represent the company in court and follow cases until final decisions
• Cooperate with government agencies and external law firms, and carry out other tasks assigned by the supervisor or HOD

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law
• Valid lawyer's license
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a corporate legal function
• Fluent written and spoken Arabic and English
• Strong analytical, legal research, communication and negotiation skills, with high ethical standards and integrity
