Job Placement Officer (National Position)

About the role

The Job Placement Officer will support mentoring, career guidance and job placement activities for vocational training beneficiaries across the country. This role involves matching beneficiaries with suitable internships and employment opportunities while fostering relationships with private‑sector partners.

Key responsibilities

• Assess beneficiaries’ skills and employment interests and match them with appropriate internship and job opportunities.
• Identify and maintain contacts with local companies, SMEs and other private‑sector actors to secure internships and employment.
• Collaborate with the Private Sector Engagement Specialist and project team to monitor labour‑market opportunities.
• Support the selection, placement and follow‑up of beneficiaries in a three‑month internship programme.
• Promote inclusive, non‑discriminatory employment practices, focusing on women, youth and persons with disabilities.
• Maintain accurate records of beneficiaries, companies, internships and employment outcomes and coordinate monitoring and reporting with the MEAL team.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Human Resources, Social Sciences, Development Studies or a related field.
• Minimum three years of professional experience in employment services, career guidance, job placement, livelihoods, vocational training or private‑sector engagement.
• Proven experience working directly with beneficiaries and establishing relationships with employers.
• Strong communication, networking and interpersonal skills.
• Sensitivity to gender equality, disability inclusion and vulnerable groups.
