Job Placement Officer (National Position)

About the role

The Job Placement Officer will support mentoring, career guidance and job placement activities for vocational training beneficiaries across the country. This role links beneficiaries with suitable internship and employment opportunities while promoting inclusive employment practices.

Key responsibilities

• Assist beneficiaries with CV preparation, interview coaching and job‑search support.
• Assess skills and employment interests to match beneficiaries with appropriate internships and jobs.
• Identify and maintain contacts with local companies, SMEs and private‑sector actors.
• Collaborate with the Private Sector Engagement Specialist and project team to monitor labour‑market opportunities.
• Support the selection, placement and follow‑up of beneficiaries in a three‑month internship programme.
• Promote inclusive, non‑discriminatory employment practices, focusing on women, youth and persons with disabilities.
• Maintain accurate records of beneficiaries, companies, internships and employment outcomes.
• Coordinate with the MEAL team for monitoring, reporting and post‑internship follow‑up.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Human Resources, Social Sciences, Development Studies or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in employment services, career guidance, job placement, livelihoods or private‑sector engagement.
• Proven ability to work directly with beneficiaries and establish relationships with employers.
• Strong communication, networking and interpersonal skills.
• Sensitivity to gender equality, disability inclusion and vulnerable groups.
