Job Placement Officer (National Position)

About the role

The Job Placement Officer will support the implementation of employment and job placement activities for the InGrowth project, linking vocational training beneficiaries with the local labour market in Iraq.

Key responsibilities

• Provide mentoring, career guidance and job‑placement support, including CV preparation and interview coaching.
• Assess beneficiaries’ skills and interests and match them with suitable internships and employment opportunities.
• Identify and maintain contacts with local companies, SMEs and private‑sector actors for internships or jobs.
• Work with the Private Sector Engagement Specialist and project team to monitor labour‑market opportunities.
• Support selection and placement of beneficiaries for three‑month internships and follow up during placements.
• Promote inclusive, non‑discriminatory employment practices for women, youth and persons with disabilities.
• Maintain accurate records of beneficiaries, companies, internships and outcomes; coordinate monitoring and reporting with the MEAL team.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Human Resources, Social Sciences, Development Studies or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in employment services, career guidance, job placement, livelihoods, vocational training or private‑sector engagement.
• Good understanding of the local labour market in the assigned governorate.
• Experience working directly with beneficiaries and private‑sector companies.
