Instrument & Calibration Engineer – Pharmaceutical

About the role

The Calibration Engineer ensures the accuracy, precision, and regulatory compliance of all instrumentation and control systems used in pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality control, and R&D. Working closely with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams, the role supports FDA, GMP, and ISO 17025 standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enforce SOPs for calibration across all facilities.
• Perform routine calibrations according to schedule, using calibrated reference standards and specialized equipment.
• Manage calibration software for scheduling, tracking, and documentation; generate certificates and compliance reports.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues; coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and external vendors.
• Maintain accurate calibration records and ensure documentation meets regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Instrumentation & Control preferred); advanced degrees a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in calibration, instrumentation, or metrology within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector.
• Familiarity with FDA, GMP, ISO 17025, SCADA, SAP, EQMS, and CSV requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities; excellent written and verbal communication.
