Electrical Engineer – SG Erbil

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, develop and supervise electrical systems for projects in Erbil. The role ensures that installations meet safety standards, client expectations and regulatory requirements while supporting on‑site execution.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical layouts and systems in accordance with project specifications and local codes.
• Create technical drawings, wiring diagrams and specifications using CAD or specialised software.
• Perform load calculations, fault analysis and system sizing to guarantee safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors and clients to integrate electrical solutions.
• Supervise installation, testing and commissioning on‑site, conducting inspections and resolving technical issues.
• Prepare project reports, documentation and weekly progress updates.
• Liaise with vendors for equipment procurement and ensure timely delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and technicians.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical design, project execution or maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site and travel to project locations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent CAD tools.
• Experience using ETAP or similar electrical analysis software.
• Ability to prepare and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
