Commercial Bidding Officer

About the role

The Commercial Bidding Officer will manage the commercial side of tenders, bids, RFPs and RFQs from initial review through final submission. The role ensures proposals are accurate, competitive, compliant and aligned with the company’s pricing strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Review tender documents, commercial terms, BOQs, scope of work and submission requirements.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date tender and bidding tracker and coordinate the bidding process with the Technical Bidding Engineer.
• Prepare commercial offers, quotations, pricing schedules and financial proposals based on approved technical solutions and supplier quotations.
• Develop pricing, ensure consistency between technical proposals, BOQs and commercial offers, and produce comparison sheets and pricing analysis.
• Analyze project costs, margins and profitability, identifying opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Collect, evaluate and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations, maintaining a database of commercial information.
• Identify commercial risks, exclusions, penalties and contractual obligations, preparing compliance checklists.
• Coordinate with Legal, Finance and Management teams to obtain approvals and ensure all required commercial documents are included in submissions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing commercial aspects of tenders, bids, RFPs and RFQs.
• Strong ability to analyse tender requirements, pricing structures and profitability.
• Excellent coordination skills with technical, legal, finance and procurement teams.
