Civil Construction Supervisor (28/28 Rotation)

About the role

KBR Iraq is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Supervisor to lead safe execution of civil works on a 28/28 rotation schedule. The role is based on‑site in Iraq and involves direct responsibility for managing construction activities, safety compliance, and coordination with operations and commissioning teams.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of responsibility for safe execution of the defined civil work scope.
• Manage site safety rules, permits to work, and risk assessments for all activities.
• Oversee a dedicated contractor workforce or integrated construction/commissioning team.
• Conduct site safety audits, ensure workforce briefings, and maintain valid permits.
• Provide accurate progress reporting based on physical scope completion.
• Raise technical queries related to design or operational changes.
• Plan vendor mobilization to minimize non‑productive time (NPT).
• Approve construction work packs and safety certificates.
• Participate in joint walk‑downs for handover to commissioning and operations.
• Support functional commissioning and ensure compliance with Interface and SIMOPs MOUs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Diploma degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience on oil and gas civil projects.
• At least 3 years experience supervising construction activities.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and permit‑to‑work systems.
