Category Administrator – Groceries

About the role

We are looking for a Category Admin – Groceries to support the Category Manager in daily commercial activities for our grocery business. The role will involve supplier sourcing, promotion coordination, pricing updates and product catalog execution, working closely with supply chain, pricing and content teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Category Manager in executing the commercial plan for the grocery category.
• Source new suppliers and products to expand assortment and improve commercial terms.
• Identify and negotiate promotions, discounts and special deals with suppliers.
• Maintain regular communication with suppliers, following up on product availability, deliveries, pricing and promotional requirements.
• Handle supplier and supply escalations in coordination with the Supply Chain team.
• Collaborate with the Content & Catalog team to ensure accurate and timely onboarding of new SKUs.
• Coordinate with the Pricing team to implement price changes, promotions and discounts correctly.
• Monitor sales, availability, pricing, promotions and overall category performance.
• Track competitor assortment, pricing and promotions to highlight opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of suppliers, SKUs, promotions and commercial terms.
• Prepare regular category reports and support activities to achieve sales, margin and availability targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in grocery, FMCG, retail or e‑commerce environments.
• Good understanding of the Iraqi grocery/FMCG market (advantage).
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Comfortable dealing directly with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Proactive, organized and execution‑focused.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
