Carpenter Supervisor – Construction Team Lead

About the role

The Carpenter Supervisor will lead a crew that constructs, erects, installs, and repairs wood, plywood, and wallboard structures for V2X projects in Iraq. Reporting to the Carpenter Manager, you will ensure work complies with building codes and project specifications while operating in challenging desert conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a team of carpenters and construction workers on all phases of wood‑based construction.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine material types and dimensions.
• Ensure all work meets International Building Code (IBC) and V2X standards.
• Maintain a safe work environment in extreme temperatures exceeding 120°F.
• Perform additional duties as required by project needs.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (copy of diploma required).
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a host‑country passenger vehicle license.
• Minimum four years of progressive carpentry experience, preferably with apprenticeship training.
• Ability to work under pressure, strict timelines, and adverse weather conditions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with carpentry hand tools and power tools.
• Blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Knowledge of IBC Civil/Carpentry standards.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
