Avionics Mechanic – F-16

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Avionics Mechanic to support F-16 aircraft for the Iraqi Air Force. The role involves training local technicians, performing maintenance on critical avionics systems, and ensuring all work is documented and verified to the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Train, advise and assist IqAF technicians on inspection, diagnostics and repair of avionics systems.
• Maintain communication, navigation, radar, flight-control and weapons-delivery avionics.
• Interpret and teach technical orders, wiring diagrams, schematics and electronic test procedures.
• Conduct system checks and operational verification of installed equipment.
• Document all maintenance actions in the designated tracking system.
• Recommend procedural updates to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Support additional tasks directed by site management.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical avionics training preferred.
• USAF 7-skill level (Craftsman) certification in Avionics.
• 8–10 years of experience with F-16 avionics maintenance and troubleshooting.
• U.S. citizenship, eligible for Secret clearance, and able to travel worldwide, including the Middle East.
