Finance Manager – Iraq

About the role

The Finance Manager will be a senior leader within Holdal Group’s Iraq operations, overseeing the finance and accounting function across all legal entities. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the Iraqi leadership team, the role ensures financial integrity, compliance, and supports the company’s growth in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting books and financial statements in line with IFRS and local regulations.
• Prepare and submit timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash‑flow statements, and performance dashboards.
• Lead the annual budgeting and financial planning process, coordinating with heads of budget centers and senior management.
• Ensure compliance with Iraqi tax laws, file required reports, and manage tax payments to avoid penalties.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, implementing robust internal controls.
• Coordinate audit activities, review draft audit reports, and liaise with external auditors.

Required profile

• Senior finance professional with proven experience leading finance teams.
• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Iraqi tax regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow processes.
• Experience working with auditors and ensuring audit compliance.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
