Production Shift Supervisor

About the role

The Production Shift Supervisor will lead plant production and operations, ensuring safe, stable and compliant performance in a challenging oil & gas environment. Reporting to senior management, the role combines hands‑on supervision with strategic oversight of teams, training and emergency response.

Key responsibilities

• Direct overall plant production and daily operations, managing team administration.
• Maintain stable, safe and regulatory‑compliant plant performance aligned with company and client standards.
• Oversee workforce training, competency assessments and personnel development programmes.
• Coordinate commissioning, start‑up, normal operation and emergency response activities.
• Enforce ISSOW, PTW and all site safety protocols.

Required profile

• 10–15 years of oil & gas plant operations experience in demanding environments.
• Internationally recognised qualifications (NVQ, C&G, OPITO or equivalent) and a valid emergency response competency certification.
• Valid internationally recognised driving licence.
• Excellent command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Strong background in coaching, mentoring and competency assessment.

Required skills

• Proven use of CMMS and SAP systems.
• Solid commissioning experience.
• Competence in complex work, flange management, ESRs and small‑bore tubing activities.
• Familiarity with ISSOW and PTW work‑control systems.
• Emergency response competency.
