Creative Strategist

About the role

The Creative Strategist translates business goals, customer insights and product propositions into compelling communication strategies and creative concepts. Working at the intersection of strategy and execution, the role defines the core message, target audience and central idea that guide the creative team.

Key responsibilities

• Convert marketing and business objectives into clear creative strategies and campaign propositions.
• Develop creative briefs that outline audience, insight, communication challenge, proposition, message and desired response.
• Generate campaign platforms, communication territories, concepts and narratives.
• Incorporate research, market, competitor and cultural insights into creative development.
• Partner with Art Director to translate strategic concepts into visual executions.
• Collaborate with Content Team on narratives, messaging frameworks, headlines and scripts.
• Support Performance Marketing with audience‑specific creative approaches across digital channels.
• Analyze competitor communication and category trends to identify differentiation opportunities.
• Present and rationalise creative concepts to marketing leadership and stakeholders.
• Contribute to testing, performance analysis and continuous improvement of creative strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, Psychology, Media or related field.
• Typically 4+ years of experience in creative strategy, brand strategy, communications planning or a similar role.
• Agency experience or senior role in an in‑house marketing function is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to turn research and business problems into communication ideas.
• Strong presentation, writing, analytical and conceptual skills.
