Business Developer

About the role

The Business Developer will drive growth by turning opportunities into client relationships and measurable revenue for BASE Agency. You will work on‑site in Erbil, engaging directly with business owners, executives and decision‑makers to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and research potential clients, industries, accounts and partnership opportunities.
• Generate qualified leads through outreach, networking, referrals, digital channels and market research.
• Initiate contact, build professional relationships and understand client objectives, challenges and budgets.
• Present BASE Agency services clearly and persuasively, arrange meetings, presentations and discovery sessions.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and other commercial documentation.
• Maintain an organized sales pipeline, track prospects and follow‑up activities.
• Negotiate commercial opportunities while protecting agency value.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure realistic, client‑aligned solutions.
• Develop long‑term client relationships, identify cross‑selling and account‑growth opportunities.
• Monitor market activity, competitors and emerging business opportunities.
• Achieve agreed sales, client‑acquisition and revenue targets.

Required profile

• Previous professional sales experience or a demonstrated sales background.
• Proven ability to generate leads, approach prospects and develop business opportunities.
• Strong understanding of the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building abilities.
• Confidence communicating with senior business stakeholders.
