Warehouse Manager

About the role

Almotakamila Flexible Packaging is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse operations and inventory control at its manufacturing facility in Baghdad. The manager oversees the receipt, storage, movement and dispatch of raw materials, production supplies and finished products, ensuring inventory accuracy, safe handling and timely support for production and customer deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inspection coordination, storage, material issuance, returns and dispatch.
• Record all inventory movements accurately and promptly in SAP, backed by complete documentation.
• Maintain accurate stock balances through cycle counts, physical inventories, reconciliation and investigation of discrepancies.
• Set up storage locations, material identification, labeling and batch traceability.
• Apply FIFO or FEFO stock rotation where appropriate to material specifications and shelf life.
• Monitor stock levels, identify shortages and excess inventory, and report slow-moving, obsolete or damaged materials.
• Coordinate with procurement, production, quality, finance, sales and logistics teams to keep material available and on schedule.
• Optimize warehouse layouts, storage capacity and material-handling processes.
• Supervise warehouse staff, assign responsibilities and monitor performance and training needs.
• Enforce safety, housekeeping and storage requirements, including segregation of hazardous materials.
• Prepare inventory and warehouse performance reports and support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in warehouse operations and inventory management, including supervisory or managerial duties.
• Experience managing raw materials and finished goods in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to coordinate multiple priorities.
• Good communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Preferred: bachelor's degree or diploma in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or a related field, and previous experience in flexible packaging, printing, plastics or a similar manufacturing industry.

Required skills

• Practical proficiency in SAP, especially inventory transactions, goods receipts, goods issues, stock transfers, stock reporting and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of inventory control, warehouse documentation, physical stock counts and materials traceability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety and material-storage practices.
