About the role
Hilal Al-Rafidain – Hurns Company is looking for a Technical Lead Developer / Software Engineer to join its team in Babylon. The role acts as a technical leader who designs and develops software systems and applications, leads development teams and delivers solutions that meet company needs and support operational and strategic goals. The person coordinates software projects from planning to execution, with a focus on code quality, high performance and user experience.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the development team to deliver high-quality projects on time
- Design, develop and maintain software applications and systems
- Apply best programming practices and stay up to date with the latest technologies
- Work with other departments so technical solutions integrate smoothly with business requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Mentor, guide and train junior team members
Required profile
- At least 3 years of experience in software development
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and best practices
Nice to have
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud)
- DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Database design and management (SQL/NoSQL)
- Agile/Scrum methodology experience
- Front-end frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.js
